The precise location of the Meridian across their farm was brought to the attention of the Croisards when a plot of ground was being prepared for the planting of additional vines. The tractor which was being controlled via GPS kept coming to a halt every time it reached the Meridian. It was this that inspired the Croisards to mark the Meridian’s position for the benefit of their visitors. The latitude as measured by the Croisards was 45.5729º north (45º 34’ 22”). This was incorrectly transcribed onto the sign as 45º 57’ 29”. The Croisard’s website has information about when the vineyard is open for visiting (link below).
