The Meridian Surgery started life in January 1987 in a hired portacabin in a car park next to the nearby Meridian Centre. Its first purpose built premises, were opened on this site in April 1989. Eventually the Surgery became too big for the building. As an interim measure, it relocated to an edge of town location in Roundhay Avenue before moving back to temporary buildings in the Meridian Centre car park on 29 February 2008. Eventually, in February 2012, the surgery moved into a new building on this (the Anchor Healthcare Centre), as tenants of Meridian Medical Services. The 2011 image set shows the new building under construction.
