This section of the A121 was developed as a town bypass in the late twentieth century following the opening of the M25. There are no buildings which are directly accessed from it, which is perhaps why it appears to have gone for many years without an official name. The name Meridian Way appears to have been adopted when/after the Meridian Park estate to its south was built. It started to appear on maps some time after 2005. The images are arranged by junction from east to west, with the road sign on the north side of the road coming first. For sheer vastness of scale, the Sainsbury’s Distribution Warehouse on the north side of Meridian Way takes some beating. Its length is in excess of 500 m.
