The point where the Meridian crosses the roads of East Hertfordshire was marked on many of them with bollards in 1984. This site, on the border with Broxbourne, appears to have been omitted. At the time of the Millennium, a new series of markings took place, but this time with oak trees. The choice of locations did not depend on whether the Meridian had been previously marked, but only on the availability of a suitable planting site.
