At the time of the Millennium, the points where the Meridian crosses the roads of East Hertfordshire were marked by the planting of an oak tree. Not every road was marked, only ones like this, where a suitable site was available. This tree, which was planted next to a marker bollard that had been erected in 1984, was dead in 2005 and no longer present in 2007.
