At the time of the Millennium, the points where the Meridian crosses the roads of East Hertfordshire were marked by the planting of an oak tree. Not every road was marked, only ones like this, where a suitable site was available. The tree is planted next to a marker bollard erected in 1984, and is increasingly overshadowing it. The sign explaining the tree’s significance was erected on a short post in front of it between 2012 and 2018. It is the only one of the East Hertfordshire oaks to have one.
