Cambridge National Golf Course had its name changed to Cambridge Meridian Golf Club following its acquisition by new owners in about 2008. It is one of twelve courses in the world to span the Meridian – ten being in England, one in France and in Tema, Ghana . At Comberton, the Meridian slices across six of the eighteen holes: the 2nd, 3rd, 10th, 13th, 14th and 18th – and for those who hit the ball too hard, the 11th hole as well. The course is crossed by a public footpath with runs from east to west.
