The Millennium Tree Line (MTL) project planted four trees on the Meridian at the Aviation Heritage Centre on 24 February 2008. Each was marked with one of the distinctive green MTL discs. From south to north: Tree 1 apparently died and was subsequently replaced, tree 2 (this tree), along with tree 3 are planted in the middle of a group of larger trees and tree 4 (an oak) is planted in the private garden of Meridian Lodge where there is also a compass rose marking the Meridian. A number or other trees were planted ‘off meridian’ at the same time. They are all believed to have been donated by Crowders Nurseries.
